Formerly # 121 of Old
Pueblo Transit (Tucson AZ), # 2 was acquired by the private Santa Cruz
Transit Company in the early 1960's. When the public Santa Cruz Metro
Transit District acquired #2 approximately ten years ago, the bus was being
used as a storage shed in nearby Capitola, CA.
The Santa Cruz MTD began
a complete ground up restoration of the bus shortly after it was acquired.
The nine year restoration effort was about 90% complete when the bus was
donated to the PBM in January 2010. Included with the donation was a spare
gasoline power train as well as a number of spare body parts.
