PBM #7103 Returned To Service!

After more than 2 years of non-operation the PBM's x-SCRTD Flxible "New look" #7103 is now operable again after several serious oil leaks were repaired by Cummins West in San Leandro, CA.

Mike Sheridan and Ron Medaglia returned #7103 from Cummins West Tuesday 11/25. As they left Cummins West the bus developed a loss of power so they tried to return to have it checked but didn't make it. Cummins West came out on a service call and fixed the problem - clogged fuel filters (We don't think they were ever replaced since it left RTD in the late 1980s). After the filters were replaced they fueled it and it took 49.9 gal of diesel (This should keep it from developing algae in the fuel tank) and drove it back to Fremont without any problems.

Consider a year end donation to PBM special funds for our buses, which is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. It is easy with PayPal.
