The PBM's vintage 1958 General
Motors TDH4512, restored in a livery recalling San Francisco's Market
Street Railway, will start operating on Sundays in the Niles area of
Fremont, CA. carrying passengers between historic Niles and the nearby Niles
Canyon Railway train boarding area.
The start of the vintage bus operation
will co-inside with the arrival of Niles Canyon Railway Trains in Niles the
same day. This long planned service will start February 19 and operate
from 10:30AM to 3:00PM on most Sundays. Visitors to the Niles area as well
as train passengers can board the bus at several stops along Niles Blvd. for
a trip through historic Niles to the nearby train boarding area before
returning to Niles Blvd. For a trip back in time ride the vintage TDH4512
and experience the sights and sounds of a classic GM 1950's era diesel bus.
